A privacy policy is a statement that describes how a website collects, uses, and manages the personal data of consumers – your website visitors. If you’re running a business and don’t have a privacy policy, you’re at risk of being fined by government agencies. Also, if people who visit your website feel like that their privacy rights have been violated, they can sue your company. So make sure to add privacy policy to your website to avoid legal problems!
Generate Privacy Policy
Come to the website h-supertools.io. Scroll all the way down until you find ”Privacy Policy Generator Tools”. Then click on privacy policy generator. In the next step, fill your company name, your website name and your website URL, i.e. your domain name. Continue to the next step where you’re going to select if your website shows advertising through Google Adsense, advertising from 3rd parties and if you use cookies on your website. Based on your individual type of website, select your preferences. Finally, click on generate. Consequently, your new privacy policy is generated. As you can see, it is not perfect because of those HTML tags at the start and at the end of each paragraph. But don’t worry! We’re going to remove them hassle-free using shortcode widget when editing our new privacy policy page with elementor page builder and wordpress.
Integrate Into Your Website
Copy your new privacy policy and log in to your website wordpress dashboard. On the navigation menu to the left, select pages – then click on ”Add New Page.” Give your new privacy policy page a headline. In this example, I’m going to name it ”Privacy Policy.” Once you’ve named it, click on ”Publish” on the top right corner. Now we need to paste our copied privacy policy. Click on ”Edit with Elementor.” You will be redirected to the page where you can edit your new privacy policy page. Remember I told you that we’re going to remove those stubborn HTML tags at the start and at the end of each paragraph? This is how easily we’re going to do it. Search for widget ”shortcode.” Drag and drop shortcode widget to the empty container. Inside of shortcode widget, under ”Content” – paste your copied privacy policy page. Voila! Shortcode widget has automatically removed unnecessary HTML tags at the start and at the end of each paragraph of our new privacy policy! Change your text type, text color and background color in the advanced settings if you desire. ”Update” your changes. Congrats, your new privacy policy page is ready to go!
Remove Unnecessary Headline
Don’t like the headline ”Privacy Policy” above ”Privacy Policy for (YOUR COMPANY NAME)?” In this last phase, I’ll show you how to quickly remove it. Come back to your wordpress dashboard. ”Pages – All Pages.” Find your new privacy policy page containing your headline and you need to click on ”Quick Edit.” Afterwards, you’ll find template which is set as ”default template” (containing ”Privacy Policy” headline). Change it by clicking on it and select ”Page No Title”. Finally, click on ”Update.” Unnecessary Headline successfully removed! Confirm it by previewing your Privacy Policy Page (click on ”Preview” next to ”Quick Edit”). Refresh your page (right click + reload). Boom, confirmation of removed headline!
